When Windows confirms that it is safe to do so, remove the USB cable from your computer. In the notification area, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon. Use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the notification area of the Taskbar to safely remove the reader before disconnecting. If a drive window is open, close any associated windows before attempting to remove the USB cable. It is not required to shut down your computer or host device to remove your reader. The microSD card slot is a push-push slot, so users should push the card further in, and the microSD card will spring out of the slot. For CF and SD cards, firmly pull the cards out, keeping the card aligned with the slots to avoid damage. The small light on the top of the reader indicates what state the reader is in: Select files from the cards and copy into desired computer file location. From the folders area, double-click 'Removable Disk' to open and manage your files. Gently insert your CompactFlash, SD or microSD card into the specified card slot. The computer should automatically detect the reader. Then insert the USB-A connector side into the USB port on your computer.
